Together, we integrated NetSuite with Azure to deliver a custom, high-performance Data Warehouse.
The Challenge
Conetic Group needed to improve its ERP data management and reporting processes. Specifically, the company aimed to:
- Centralize transactional data in a single location.
- Automate data extraction and reporting processes.
- Deliver faster, more reliable insights for decision-making across the organization.
The Goal
The main goal was to develop a streamlined NetSuite Azure integration that would improve access to business-critical information.
To achieve this, the solution needed to:
- Automatically extract and transform business-critical data using a Python script.
- Make the data available in a cloud Data Warehouse, ready for use in Business Intelligence (BI) tools like Power BI.
- Reduce the need for internal teams to manually process ERP tables.
The Solution
Where2Retail and B2F collaborated to develop a scalable, automated solution based on several key technologies.
The solution included:
- SuiteQL combined with a custom RESTlet to extract and process data directly from NetSuite.
- An Azure Function to orchestrate, extract, and transform data from the NetSuite API in an automated and scalable way.
- An Azure SQL Database to store clean, structured datasets. These include records of deleted transactions, execution logs, and all parameters required for stable authentication within the Python script.
Together, these components supported the automation of ERP data integration and the delivery of structured information for analysis.
Key Considerations
During the development of the solution, the teams focused on three essential aspects:
- Choosing an efficient extraction method that ensures data completeness and performance.
- Designing the process to track both current and deleted records.
- Structuring the solution for easy maintenance and future scalability.
These considerations helped guide the development of a reliable and scalable data integration architecture.
Results
As a result of the collaboration, Conetic Group benefited from several improvements:

- Leveraging cloud tools like Microsoft Azure allows for rapid deployment and scalability as the business grows.
